Summer Wine Event with Fernando at 56 Central

Italy

If you’re reading this, it may be safe to assume you’re a big fan of wine just like us. But have you ever wondered if you’re enjoying that evening tipple as much as you could be? Have you heard someone remarking on that ‘light, citrus tone’ or wondered what a ‘good balance on the palate’ might actually mean? The world of wine tasting is huge with ever-evolving terminology so it can be hard to keep up and keep track. Fortunately some very good friends of ours have you covered!

56 Central is a delightful wine bar in Galway City supplied by J&C Kenny. On Thursday 14th July they will be hosting a Summer Wine Event with experts in attendance to help you get to know and appreciate your wines in a whole new way.

Travelling all the way from Spain to showcase his wines and share his remarkable knowledge will be Fernando Mora, owner of Botijo Rojo wines. Fernando will have his wines for you to try as well as discussing the many layers of professional wine tasting.

Also in attendance will be Cathal McBride, a Galway local and writer of the very popular Glass of Red Wine blog. Cathal will be there to provide some simple ways to help you discover the perfect wine for you.

And that’s not all! 56 Central’s very own Chef Ken will be in the kitchen cooking up some incredible culinary delights to accompany the wine choices on the evening.

As owner Gill Carroll says, “This night will be both relaxed and informal. You can learn how to enjoy your glass of wine and learn how to talk like a pro!”.

Sounds like a great evening to us! Places are limited so we suggest booking your ticket as soon as you can to ensure a spot.

You can book tickets through email at 56centralbookings@gmail.com 56centralbookings@gmail.com or on the phone at 091 569 511.

Tickets are €30 per person and include wine and food, with the festivities kicking off at 7pm.
